Biman Bangladesh fleet and aircraft details

As of January 2025, Biman Bangladesh Airlines operates a fleet of 21 aircraft, comprising:

• Boeing 737-800: Six aircraft, each configured with 12 business class seats and 150 economy class seats, totaling 162 seats per aircraft.

• Boeing 777-300ER: Four aircraft, each accommodating 35 business class passengers and 384 economy class passengers, totaling 419 seats per aircraft.

• Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner: Four aircraft, each with 24 business class seats and 247 economy class seats, totaling 271 seats per aircraft.

• Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner: Two aircraft, each configured with 30 business class seats, 21 premium economy seats, and 247 economy class seats, totaling 298 seats per aircraft.

• De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400: Five aircraft, each configured with 74 economy class seats.

In line with its expansion strategy, Biman Bangladesh Airlines plans to increase its fleet size to 47 aircraft by 2034.This growth involves acquiring 32 new aircraft, including both passenger and cargo planes, while phasing out six older aircraft. The airline is considering options from major manufacturers such as Airbus and Boeing to fulfill this expansion.

Notably, in October 2024, Biman announced plans to acquire ten Airbus A350 aircraft, comprising eight passenger variants and two freighters, to enhance its long-haul capabilities and cargo operations.
